Well, when a heart shows up on ice and you have a taker, I guess it’s time to re-arrange the surgeon’s schedule to fit in a heart transplant***. So…Rob’s surgery has been bumped to Thursday morning (which also happens to be the 26th anniversary of the day we met – some guys will do anything to get out of celebrating a romantic anniversary.)

Although he is ready to put the surgery behind him and was disappointed to hear the news, Rob took it like a trooper when his surgeon broke the news. Hopefully the decent food and nice nurses continue to take the edge off of sitting around the hospital for one more day.

***Rob’s surgery was bumped for SOMONE ELSE’S heart transplant – sorry if that was confusing. He did not have a transplant. He underwent a Bentall Procedure.
